Wooden Sash Windows by Jack Brusndon & Son

Sash Windows

Balanced Spring Sash Windows
Spring balanced sash windows are particularly useful in more modern buildings that do not have sufficient rebate to accommodate a traditionally weighted box sash. Amongst our suite, we also have a unique ‘Hidden Spring’ option; the springs being 'hidden' by virtue of being completely concealed within the box frame and thereby do not detract from the window's styling. Although the spring sash suits a modern site application there is no sacrifice on period appeal. These windows carry authentic section details, slender meeting rails and slim glazing bars in any configuration.

Sash Windows with Traditional Weights
Our traditional, weighted box sash windows are hung on sash cords or smooth running chains retained by the long-proven reliability of counter-balance weights. Much care has been given to ensure the historical accuracy of all proportions of the window with slim meeting rails and slender glazing bars. Modern glazing technologies ensure extremely high levels of insulation (1.1 w/mk2) whilst weather stripping eliminates draughts and rattles. Our sash windows are supplied in wide variety of colours. Samples of our weighted sash on both cords and chains are available to inspect in our showrooms.
