Secondary Double Glazing
Secondary glazing as the name implies is a secondary form of window that is fitted, on the inside, immeaditely behind a primary window. Secondary glazing is specified in situations where increased thermal insulation/efficiency is required e.g. in listed or historical buildings or conservation areas where the primary windows are single glazed. Secondary glazing is also specified in situations where noise reduction is necessary and desirable e.g. in hospitals. However, the system is suitable for installation in new build and refurbishment projects, in domestic homes and commercial properties including schools, colleges, hospitals, universities, hotels and commercial buildings i.e. offices.
